Chinese grain dryers help Nigeria’s agricultural modernization and solve the problem of grain storage
In recent years, with the acceleration of Nigeria’s agricultural mechanization process, Chinese-made grain dryers have been widely used in the country, effectively solving the problems of low efficiency and easy mildew of traditional drying methods, helping local grain loss and income increase, and promoting sustainable agricultural development.
Demand for dryers is strong, and Chinese technology fills the market gap
Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa, and agriculture accounts for 25% of GDP. However, due to climatic conditions, traditional drying methods are difficult to cope with humid weather in the rainy season, resulting in serious losses of grain mildew. Chinese-made grain dryers have quickly become the first choice for local farmers and agricultural enterprises with their advantages of high efficiency, energy saving and strong adaptability.
Jinlu Machinery has launched small mobile grain dryers suitable for small and medium-sized farmers in response to the characteristics of the Nigerian market. These equipment use a coal-fired dual-fuel system to reduce operating costs, and are equipped with an intelligent temperature control system to ensure uniform drying and reduce grain losses.
Localized production + after-sales service to enhance market competitiveness
In order to better serve the African market, Jinlu Machinery signed a long-term strategic cooperation agreement with agents, and also provided localized services such as equipment maintenance and operation training to win the trust of customers.
“In the past, our corn could not be dried in time during the rainy season, resulting in a loss of nearly 30%. Now we use Chinese dryers, which can be dried in 24 hours and have more stable quality.” said a farmer in Kaduna State, Nigeria.
Policy support + exhibition promotion, broad market prospects
In recent years, the Nigerian government has vigorously promoted agricultural mechanization and provided subsidies to encourage farmers to purchase drying equipment. At the 2025 Nigeria International Agricultural Exhibition (NIAExpo), Chinese dryers became the focus.
Industry insiders predict that with the development of Nigeria’s grain processing industry, the market demand for dryers will continue to grow. Chinese companies are further optimizing their products and exploring new energy drying solutions such as solar energy to help Africa’s agricultural modernization in a more environmentally friendly way.
