1.Project background
Jilin Province is an important agricultural product production base in my country, rich in high-quality eggplants. When processing eggplant strips, Mr. Miao of Jilin faced problems such as low efficiency of traditional drying, susceptibility to weather, and difficult to ensure sanitary conditions. In order to improve production efficiency and ensure product quality, the customer selected the coal-fired dual-use heat source dryer produced by Jinlu Machinery, and successfully achieved rapid and uniform drying of eggplant strips.
2.Customer needs
High efficiency and energy saving: short drying time, low energy consumption, and reduced production costs are required.
Precise temperature control: Eggplant strips need to be dried at a suitable temperature to avoid burning or water residue.
Environmental protection and hygiene: The drying process is pollution-free and meets food processing standards.
3. Jinlu Machinery Drying Solution
In response to customer needs, Jinlu Machinery recommended a coal-fired dual-use hot air dryer and formulated the following drying process:
Heat source: coal/firewood dual-use, low fuel cost, suitable for the energy structure of Jilin area.
Drying temperature: constant 70℃, ensuring that the color and nutrition of the eggplant strips are not lost.
Drying time: only 4 hours, which is more than 80% shorter than traditional drying.
Drying effect: the moisture content of the eggplant strips is reduced from 80% to below 12%, the color is golden, and the taste is tough but not hard.
4.Drying process
Pretreatment: After the fresh eggplant is cut into strips, it is evenly spread on the drying tray to ensure good ventilation.
Drying stage:
Heating stage: The initial temperature is set at 60℃, and the temperature is slowly increased to avoid surface hardening.
Constant temperature drying: Stable at 70℃ for 3.5 hours, and hot air circulation makes the water evaporate evenly.
Cooling end: The temperature is lowered in the last 0.5 hours to ensure that the eggplant strips are dried uniformly inside and outside.
Discharging packaging: After drying, the eggplant strips can be directly packaged without secondary drying.
5.Customer feedback
Efficiency improvement: Drying is completed in 4 hours, and the daily output is greatly increased to meet order requirements.
Quality assurance: Eggplant strips have good color, no sulfur fumigation, and meet food safety standards.
Energy saving and environmental protection: The cost of coal and wood heat source is low, saving more than 50% of the cost compared with electric drying.
