Prawn Drying
1.Customer Demand
Dalian Xiangzong is engaged in seafood processing enterprises. It processes more than 500 tons of prawns and other aquatic products annually, and its products are mainly exported to high-end markets in Europe and the United States. With the increase in orders, traditional drying equipment has exposed three major pain points:
Low efficiency: drying takes 8-12 hours, and the production capacity bottleneck is prominent; unstable quality: temperature fluctuations result in a finished product rate of only 85%, and the shrimp body is prone to color difference or excessive dehydration; high energy consumption cost: coal-fired thermal efficiency is less than 40%, and manual drying is labor-intensive. Customers urgently need an intelligent drying solution that can take into account efficiency, quality and energy saving.
2.Design plan
After field research, the technical team of Jinlu Machinery tailored a solution for it; Equipment selection: Use a rotary dryer with a 10-layer flip structure to simulate manual drying to ensure uniform heating; Equipped with electric heating, the thermal efficiency is increased to 75%, energy-saving and environmentally friendly;
Process optimization: Set 90℃ constant temperature drying for 4 hours, and dynamically adjust the hot air circulation through the humidity sensor; The intelligent control system automatically matches the drying curve of different shrimp sizes to avoid partial overdrying or undercooking;
3.Customer evaluation
“The test results far exceeded expectations!” Manager Wang, the person in charge of production of the company, gave feedback: Efficiency breakthrough: The drying time of a single batch was shortened from 10 hours to 4 hours, and the daily production capacity doubled; Quality leap: The finished product rate was increased to more than 95%, the shrimp body was golden in color and firm in taste, and passed the EU SGS test; Economic benefits: Energy consumption was reduced by 40%, annual fuel cost savings exceeded 500,000 yuan, and export orders increased by 30% year-on-year. The customer has purchased 3 additional equipment and plans to promote the Jinlu drying process to product lines such as shellfish and fish fillets. “This is not only a piece of equipment, but also the key for us to open up the high-end market,” Manager Wang concluded.
