Cucumber Drying Operation for a Guangxi Client
1. Client Requirements
Mr. Li, a client based in Guangxi—a region characterized by dense fruit and vegetable cultivation—specializes in processing dehydrated vegetables, primarily cucumbers and green beans. In the past, when utilizing traditional drying rooms to process cucumbers, he faced persistent challenges: the manual tray-loading process was tedious and labor-intensive; drying cycles were excessively long; heat distribution was uneven; the dried products often appeared yellowed or dull; fragmentation rates were high; and batch yields were too small to meet the demands for a stable supply.
2. Jinlu Machinery: Custom-Tailored Equipment Solution
Upon installing Jinlu Machinery’s 10-meter multi-layer mesh belt dryer, the advantages became immediately apparent. Constructed entirely from food-grade 304 stainless steel, the machine features variable frequency speed control and intelligent systems for precise temperature and humidity regulation. Integrated with a cross-flow hot air circulation system, it enables a seamless, continuous workflow involving continuous feeding, drying, and discharging. The process is meticulously managed through three stages: rapid initial dehydration at 60–65°C; constant-temperature dehumidification at 50–55°C during the intermediate phase; and a gentle, final drying and shaping stage at 45–50°C. This precise control ensures the final product’s moisture content is maintained within a target range of 8% to 12%. Throughout the entire operation, no manual turning or stirring of the material is required; the hot air penetrates uniformly, resulting in dried cucumbers with a natural, bright yellow hue, intact shapes, and no scorched edges. The fragmentation rate is significantly lower than that of traditional drying rooms, leading to a substantial increase in the yield of premium-grade products.
3. Client Feedback
Mr. Li reports: “This equipment from Jinlu Machinery has simultaneously elevated both the quality and yield of our dried cucumbers. Our daily processing capacity for fresh cucumbers has nearly doubled, and the overall processing workflow has become much smoother. Our customers have expressed greater satisfaction with the color and texture of the dried products, allowing us to ensure a more stable supply. Consequently, the overall economic benefits have improved significantly. With its moderate footprint and hygienic, sealed design, this machine is ideally suited for batch production in small to medium-sized processing plants.”
