Five portable corn dryers shipped to Qingdao Port, helping Nigeria upgrade agricultural production

2025-08-13 14:59:31

Today, five portable corn dryers independently developed and manufactured by Jinlu Machinery completed shipment from our factory to Qingdao Port for export to Nigeria. These machines utilize a dual-heat design using coal and diesel, capable of drying 5 tons of corn per batch. They will provide an efficient solution for post-harvest loss reduction and grain storage in the local agricultural sector.

1.Flexible and Efficient, Solving Africa’s Drying Challenges

To address Nigeria’s unstable power supply and diverse fuel options, this batch of dryers features an innovative modular design:

① Detachable and Mobile Structure: The equipment can be quickly disassembled and transported to the fields, adapting to operations in remote areas of Africa.

② Coal-Firewood Dual-Fuel System: Utilizes both coal-fired hot air furnaces and biomass fuels to accommodate varying energy requirements.

③ Large Capacity of 5 tons/batch: Efficiency is over 10 times higher than traditional drying methods, reducing moisture content from 25% to below 14%.

Chinese Intelligent Manufacturing Serves Global Agriculture

The head of the exporting company stated, “This batch of equipment features enhanced rust-proofing and an easy-to-use design, ensuring stable operation even in high-humidity climates. We also provide local technical training to ensure users quickly master operational skills.”

As Africa’s largest corn producer, Nigeria suffers annual grain losses of up to 20% due to mold and mildew during drying. The imported Chinese drying equipment will directly serve local agricultural cooperatives, helping to improve food security.

Mobile dryers are in strong demand in countries along the Belt and Road Initiative. Their flexibility and fuel adaptability have opened up new markets for Chinese agricultural machinery exports. In the future, more agricultural equipment tailored to the needs of developing countries will be exported overseas at an accelerated pace.
