Jinlu Machinery’s Mesh-Belt Dryer Successfully Completes Trial Run for Deer Antler Mushrooms
Recently, Jinlu Machinery successfully completed the trial run and commissioning of a custom-built, 5-layer mesh-belt dryer—measuring 8 meters in length and 2 meters in width—specifically designed for drying Deer Antler mushrooms. Utilizing an air-source heat pump heating system, the trial addressed the unique characteristics of Deer Antler mushrooms—namely their high moisture content, delicate tissue structure, and sensitivity to temperature fluctuations—by employing a three-stage, stepped-temperature drying process. The entire operation took only 8 hours to process 2 tons of fresh produce in a single batch, and the drying results received high acclaim from the client.
During the trial, the equipment executed a precise three-stage temperature control sequence: 50°C (for 2 hours), 55°C (for 2 hours), and 60°C (for 4 hours). This approach effectively eliminated common issues associated with traditional drying methods, such as surface scorching, internal dampness, and discoloration. The 5-layer mesh-belt structure ensured uniform hot air circulation, guaranteeing consistent heating across materials on all layers; this eliminated the need for manual turning, thereby significantly reducing product breakage and labor costs.
The finished Deer Antler mushrooms retained their intact shape and natural color, free from scorched edges or darkened bases. Their aroma was well-preserved, and upon rehydration, their texture closely resembled that of fresh mushrooms—fully meeting the market requirements for commercial distribution, packaging, and storage of edible fungi. The client provided the following feedback: “In the past, our old-fashioned drying rooms required constant monitoring for over a dozen hours and often resulted in spoiled batches. Now, with the Jinlu mesh-belt dryer, we simply set the temperature and let it run—it is both worry-free and highly stable.”
Jinlu Machinery remains committed to providing customized, highly efficient, and energy-saving drying solutions for a wide variety of edible fungi and agricultural products. If you have any drying requirements, we welcome you to contact us for consultation and discussion.
